Azadirachta indica-Derived Silver Nanoparticle Synthesis and Its Antimicrobial Applications

Advancement of biologically driven experimental procedure for the generation metal nanoparticles is a major aspect in domain nanotechnology. Herein, we synthesized one pot silver (AgNPs) using Azadirachta indica (Neem plant) via green synthesis method. The alkaloids and flavonoids plant extract served as capping reducing agent to develop nanoparticles. characterization AgNPs was performed analytical techniques such UV-visible spectroscopy, FTIR, SEM. were further impregnated onto cotton cloth antimicrobial studies performed. embedded fabric found show zone inhibition against fungi Candida albicans, gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli, gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus. This study suggests that on could have great potential application smart nanobandages wound dressing, medical textiles, sports clothing, etc.
